I admit that INXS was catchy as hell but not sure if I would say it was the best album. O.k., if I was gonna pick '80's albums of Prince's I would have picked Purple Rain or Around The World In A Day. Depeche Mode was always good but never really held onto my heart strings enough. Never was much of a Kate Bush or Cure fan, sorry. I liked U2 but felt like they were putting out the same albums. I think I need to explore their earlier work as the later stuff got so overplayed I didn't want to listen to them any more. I think I would have to pick Prince, but not that particular album.
ha. let's see here..
Australia
America

and all of them are either New Wave or soft Rock music.
you really spread it out there a lot. yep, nothing else going on at any point in that decade in music..
MOST of the best albums of the 80's featured music that was never even heard on the radio.
expand your music knowledge. dig a little and you might be surprised with what you find. unless you are content with listening to the bare minimum of creativity, emotion and intelligence in musical art.
Hounds of Love - Kate Bush. I like Depeche Mode, but I have their compilation albums and haven't listened to any of their non-complilation albums,
The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
