I'm a bit late to the party here.... Vallendusk - Black Clouds Gathering and Elderwind - The Magic of Nature are two of the finest albums I have ever heard. Then there's this...
Andy Marshall makes some solid atmospheric black/folk metal in his projects Saor and Fuath. Wodensthrone is another one that I'm a huge fan of, it's a shame they broke up. Mesarthim have released some really strong material recently as well.
That being said, it can be really hit-and-miss for me. Alcest I haven't managed to get into even though I also love shoegaze.
Well, I think Negură Bunget, Drudkh and of course Ulver has some great stuff. Thy Serpent's "Forests of Witchery" is another favorite of mine. Empyrium in their early albums did more of a folk/symphonic kind of metal with some black incorporated, but I think they could still sort of fit in here.
Celtic Frost without a doubt
