I think we should have an open chat system. A few years ago, there was a great application called userplane, which was used on many sites.

I think searching needs to be improved. since there's not a lot of people on the site, automatically searching based on geographic location and taste together brings up the same 10 people. Make it easier for you to search globally to see who's online most recently.

I think there should be a search function through the messages.

I really love the "pick top 8" feature that's now live. Maybe the matching could be a little better though as sometimes I find people with music taste's that aren't vaguely related to my own. I'm sure you can tweak around with the algorithm a little bit.

Two thoughts which come to mind:

1. With regard to the artist sorting and people not liking the fact you always just see the first few letters of the alphabet etc: Would it be possible to have the option to randomise the order wach time you profile page is re-loaded? That way a different selection is presented each time. The option to have a list style display would also help to fit more in the first page. Also, IMO the "The" in artist names should be ignored for the purpose of alphabetical sorting as it usually is.

2. I just noticed that we have a little play button beside profile names. It's a nifty feature which I like but doesn't seem to work perfectly. The artists played seem to be heavily weighted towards the start of the alphabetical list (i.e. mostly the ones starting with "A" or "B"). Also, many of the tracks don't play and just sit there doing nothing until I hit skip. (Other tracks just seem to automatically get skipped but that's less of an issue).
