Rita Yahan-Farouz Kleinstein (born 1962 in Teheran), known as Rita, is a popular singer and actress in Israel. She immigrated to Israel from Iran in 1970. Rita represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990. In 1989 she was elected Israeli actress of the year. In 2004 in Tel Aviv she starred as Roxie Hart in forty performances of Ehud Manor's Hebrew translation of Chicago. The production sold 55,000 tickets. Rita was married to popular pianist, composer, and singer Rami Kleinstein. She launches a series of concerts, staged in Tel Aviv's Fair Grounds. Rita presents her most popular songs in the series named One. Almost four million Euros were invested in it, allowing the use of dancers, musicians, pyrotechnics and a state of the art stage.
