About あぶらだこ
Aburadako are one of the most unique underground bands to come out of Japan in the 1980s. Aburadako formed as a typical hardcore/punk outfit in Tokyo in 1983. Hirotomo Hasagawa writes all of the lyrics and writes and arranges most of the music himself. This was at a time where punk was dead in the west but becoming the new fad in the east. Aburadako birthed in what you could call the golden age of Japanese punk. But as Aburadako progressed in age the more evolved their music became. In 1985, Aburadako released their third album. This would be their first step away from the typical hardcore/punk sound of their peers and would progress into something much more complex and deep (this would also be the last album to feature Tatsuya Yoshida of Ruins/Koenji Hyakkei fame). Aburadako still continue strong with live shows but rarely keep up on released material. After 1989 they only released three albums and a single. The single was a live recording of yokujitsu extended to 25 minutes of noise-rock. Source: www.circlewithadot.net
