About メトロノーム
Please note: "Acid Eiffel" and "Blind" are NOT tracks by the Japanese angura-kei band, メトロノーム. They are by Maxence Cyrin and by Henrik Nilssen (see below) respectively. メトロノーム (metronome) is a japanese electro, punk-rock band formed in 1998. Members: シャラク (Sharaku/Voicecorder), フクスケ (Fukusuke/Talbo-01), リウ (Riu/Talbo-02), シンタロウ (Shintarou/Drum). They said they traveled through time from the year 2005 to the year 1998 to boost their record sales, thus their futuristic theme. As 2005 approached, though, they tried to pretend they never said this, and joked about it later. On 6th May 2007, ユウイチロー(Yuuichirou) played his last gig as Drum after 6 years with the band. Shintarou supported the band on drums since then and officially joined the band in November 2007. To date, メトロノーム have released 8 singles, 5 maxi-singles, 7 mini-albums, 1 full album and a live show DVD, as well as many CDs available only at their lives. In 2008 they are releasing two 'best of' albums called COLLECTION and COLLECTION 2 - all tracks on these have been remixed and rerecorded with the current line-up, or are recent recordings at lives. More info at http://www.artpop.org/meto21/ (Japanese). There is also a Swedish artist that should not be directed here. Make another Metronome page (you could try tagging it like this: Metronome). His name is Henrik Nilssen (20) and he's been making progressive psytrance since 1996. His musical influences comes from many kinds of musical styles, of course from other psytrance artists, but also from synth, rock and almost everything. He involves very much of his own personal feelings in his music - perhaps that's why "colours" is his definition of progressive psytrance. Besides producing, Henrik has been DJ'ing since early '99 in Sweden. These tracks will be on Neurosmic Records' first EP, coming out in September 2002.
