About A Thousand Shades of Cold
Based out of Rochester, New York, A Thousand Shades of Cold is a hard rock band with a metal edge forged around a melodic core. Formed in late 2004, the band recorded their demo EP in late 2005 and were picked up by Amherst Records at the beginning of 2006. Later that year, they released their self-titled debut album (which was recorded with Rich Spalla at It'll Do Studios in Niagara Falls, New York). ATSOC and Amherst parted ways in late fall 2008, and the band trudged forward to record a second album, "DarkentheDaylight," which will be released in early fall 2009. The album was recorded with Mike Hatalak (It Dies Today) at DWS Studios in Niagara Falls, New York. The band prides itself on its energetic and intense live presence and now ventures to spread their music to the world and has the ambition to achieve nothing less.
