About AMORIC
AMORIC are an award winning, four-piece, rock band from Bulgaria who are now based in Dublin, Ireland. AMORIC have had several member changes over the years before finalising their line-up in 2010. The band consists of Lora Dimitrova (lead vocals, keyboard), Miroslav "Miro" Ivanov (guitar, backing vocals), Emiliyan Bonev (bass, backing vocals) and Yanko Genov (drums, percussion). The quartet's front-woman, Lora, has an undeniable vocal ability and stage presence and this coupled with the band's hard-hitting playing style produces the diverse and memorable sound that is AMORIC. The group released their self-titled debut EP in 2009. The EP was recorded in Dublin's Temple Lane's Sun Studio with Grammy nominated US producer Bruce Sugar. Bruce's career reads like a Who's Who of popular music having worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Ringo Starr and Joe Walsh of the Eagles to name but a few. In Autumn 2010, the band released their follow-up EP 'Keep Up' which sees the band pushing their sound to a brighter soundscape. A pre-release review of the EP by the reputable Skopemag.com resulted in the band being selected as an 'Artist To Watch' in 2010. The band shot two videos for the EP for tracks 'Keep Up' and '7 a.m'. The videos have gained popularity on YouTube and have received airplay in the UK and Ireland on Sky's Lava TV channel. AMORIC are currently recording their third EP of six songs in Ireland in Temple Lane's Sun Studio and the prestigious Grouse Lodge Studio. The band have gained a large fanbase through internet promotion and playing live. In a very short period of time, AMORIC have notched up one of the largest online fanbases of any unsigned band with over 185,000 fans on web sites MySpace, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube. AMORIC have received various awards including finalist for best rock song in the internationally renowned John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The band have played a number of festivals in 2010 including Indie Week Ireland and Solfest in the UK.
