Andy Tau is the production alias of Andy MacDougall, a Scottish born producer and dj now based in London. Andy originally became interested in trance over 15 years ago and followed the sound, frequenting some of the most iconic clubs and hearing some of the best djs in the world through the peak of trance towards the end of the 90's. Iinspired by the music, the djs and the clubs It was around this time that he initially started producing. It wasn't until late in 2007 that Andy signed his first track with Bonzai, which was released on their sub label Progrez. The track, titled Prevolution was well received and supported by DJ's such as John 00 Fleming. In 2008 Andy had a string of succesful releases; Revelations, released on heavyweight UK label Monster was played by Gareth Emery on the world famous Essential Mix on Radio 1, it was also played by Judge Jules on his Radio 1 show. Other notable releases in 2008 were his track North which featured on the Ministry of Sound Summer Euphoria compilation and was remixed by none other than Airwave. Andy also remixed Airwave's Candy Of Life, turning it into a dark throbbing tech trancer and Pulstate's Lost Forever, both of which were well supported and received good reviews. Towards the end of 2008 and into the spring of 2009 Andy had several tracks and remixes signed to labels such as Monster, Bonzai, Infrasonic, Neuroscience, Enhanced and Conspiracy and continues to see support from the top Djs grow, along with his reputation.
