About Anjelika Akbar
Anjelika Akbar (Born as Anjelika Rosenbaum in 1969 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan) is a Turkish professional musician/pianist. She began playing piano at the age of 3 and writing songs as well as performing on the stage at the age of 5. She is the only child of a musician and philosopher father of Jewish heritage and a musician mother of Turkish descent and nationality. She studied for eleven (11) years at Tashkent's National Uspensky Music School. In 1993 she became a Turkish citizen and received her Master's degree from the Hacettepe National Conservatory in Ankara. She was an instructor (1997-1999) at the State Conservatoire in Ankara University. Since she came to Turkey she has had concerts in Central Asia, Baltic states, Russia, India, Germany and Turkey. She was an invitee at the UNESCO National Committee for Uzbekistan.
