Artur Rojek (born May 6, 1972) is the former guitarist and lead singer of the Polish alternative rock groups Myslovitz and Lenny Valentino. He and the lead guitarist Wojciech Powaga founded the former in 1992. The band were initially called The Freshmen, after the movie The Freshman, featuring Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick. However, in 1994 they changed it to Myslovitz, which is German for their town of origin Myslowice, PL. He cooperated with many artist, like Smolik, Nosowska, etc. In 2005 he appears on silver screen with background role in "Pogoda na jutro" In 2006 he realized the idea of Off Festival in Myslowice where during three days performed almost 40 bands from Poland and abroad. More information can be found on www.myspace.com/offfestival . For a longer time he has been engaged in solo activities. So far he made only single songs for the needs of theatrical performances and films (including film "Hania" , directed by Janusz Kaminski, premiere in December 2007) On 20 April 2012, Myslovitz informed about Rojek's departure in an official message signed by all members of the group. His first solo album is scheduled for spring 2014.
