About Barbara Pittman

Husky voiced female singer from Memphis TN whose claim to fame is being the only lady signed to Sam Phillips' Sun Records stable during the late 1950's. Her friendship with Elvis Presley got her foot in the door, and she toured in package shows with Sun artists, and while she had no major hits, did appear in some films and in the 1980's made a comeback amidst the rockabilly revival circuit.
