There are two bands called Break It Up. 1. Break It Up is a 3-piece alternative/post-riot grrrl band from Philadelphia, PA. Rooted in a post-riot grrrl ethic, the tension between their 90s rock upbringing and modern pop impulses drives their debut single, "Excavate," which has been described as an "inspiring slice of strident independence and anthemic power-pop goodness." 2. Break It Up are a UK hardcore punk band from Newcastle and Durham. Members used to be in Voorhees and Thirty Seconds Until Armageddon. "No Sides" album line-up; Lins - vocals, Sean Readman- guitar, Graeme Nicholls - lead guitar, Sid - bass, Chris Fay - drums. Other members have included Pete Falkous, Paul Rugman-Jones and Peet.
