Meet people through music
When - earlier this year - Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire, Evil Superstars, dEUS) and Pascal Deweze (Sukilove, Chitlin' Fooks, Metal Molly) were asked to provide the soundtrack for Benidorm Bastards (a popular comedy series featuring elderly people pulling pranks on youngsters), the sky was the limit. Looking for and finding inspiration in the sixties and seventies, they both stepped way out of their usual comfort zones. Energised by the vibe and the results of their collaboration and eager for "more", Tim and Pascal decided to kick things up a notch and to turn the tunes and jingles into full-blown, sexy, atmosperic, feelgood songs and mid-summer melodies. As Broken Glass Heroes the duo will be releasing these as a full album at the end of the summer. In the meantime you can get into the mood with first single "Let's Not Fall Apart", a song that - being the theme song for the series - might already sound familiar. Album release is scheduled for August 30, 2010 on Loud Tongues // PIAS. Single "Let's Not Fall Apart" will be released on June 6, 2010 (digital only release) and has already been picked up by Studio Brussel and Radio 1. Touring plans include a limited club tour in October and November, for which Sjoerd Bruil (guitar/backings) and Marc Bonne (drums) will be joining Tim and Pascal on stage. *** More Broken Glass Heroes: www.facebook.com/brokenglassheroes www.myspace.com/brokenglassheroes *** More Benidorm Bastards: http://www.2be.be/benidorm-bastards-2010/items_521.php
