Meet people through music
In August 2008, Alex Day searched the web for "Time Lord Rock" - a subsection of music he thought would exist to celebrate the TV show Doctor Who - but got no results. Shortening the term to 'Trock', he introduced the concept to his YouTube viewers, launching the music with a self-penned song called An Awful Lot Of Running (inspired by the words of Jenny at the end of the 2008 episode 'The Doctor's Daughter'). Charlie McDonnell was quickly approached to form a band as he had written his own song which would fit perfectly into the 'Trock' concept; Blink, a song about the 2007 Who episode of the same name. Liam Dryden and Chris Beattie opted in too, and the line-up was complete. Alex aimed to work on having 10 tracks for a self-titled album written by September 1st, which the guys achieved a day early, and at the end of September the band started recording with their (first) producer NSG for a 2009 release. You can buy their debut album Chameleon Circuit at dftba.com, or through iTunes and amazon. On January 23rd, 2011, it was officially announced through twitter that Eddplant would be replacing Chris. On July 18th, 2011, it was officially confirmed that Michael Aranda is also now considered official member of the band. New album Still Got Legs was released 12 July 2011.
