About Cirrha Niva

We are Cirrha Niva, a Dutch progressive metal band. Currently recording our new album at Split Second Sound Studio (Textures, Autumn, Stream of Passion). From 2001 until 2003 we played all over The Netherlands, and did a few shows in Belgium & Germany with our first special production, the rock opera entitled 'Liaison de la Morte'. We also supported bands like Lacuna Coil, Skyclad, Evergrey, Pain of Salvation, Within Temptation & Planet X. In 2009 we recorded in a changed line-up 'For Moments Never Done' and got great reviews all over the world, did a lot of shows and played some cool festivals, and supported Crimson Glory on their 25th Ann. European Tour. "For Moments Never Done" was released in Europe and in the USA & Canada. "For Moments Never Done" carried 7 tracks with a total playing time of approx 47 minutes. On this album you can hear some special guests like: Robin de Groot (Chiraw) - grunts & screams on The Fooling, Manda Ophuis (Nemesea) - backing vocals on Dreamon, Joost van den Broek (ex-After Forever) - keyboards on Framed, Running From The Source & Spring Before Winter, Yuval Kramer (Amaseffer) - spoken words on Golan Heights & Bouke Visser - saxophone on Spring Before Winter. It was, just as our new album will, produced by Cirrha Niva & Split Second Sound and mixed and mastered by Jochem Jacobs & Bouke Visser @ www.splitsecondsound.nl The last year we lay low for a bit to write songs for the new album, which will be recorded as we speak!
