About Coleco
1) ColeCo are a production duo from Toronto Canada. They've opened for acts such as The Weeknd, The Magician, Com Truise and Fake Blood, and continue to turn heads an electronic music act not to be overlooked. Fresh off the heels of their massive "El Verano" EP, ColeCo have been taking summer 2012 by storm. Their "Can't Stop" EP was widely accepted after the title track received extensive play from artists like The Magician. They've also recently returned from a very successful first stint at Miami Music Week 2012 where they tore up the sound waves with some of the best in the Electronic Music Industry! ColeCo's ability to blend a variety of genres seamlessly has earned them the recognition of Electronic Music fanatics across the globe . . . and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon! Having recently remixed for the likes of Kitsuné Maison's new indie band Citizens, as well as Moon Boots and Young Empires, expect to hear a lot more incredible sounds coming your way including exciting new collaborations, remixes and original content throughout the year! Welcome to ColeCo Vision! 2) Coleco is currently a Bristol based musician, who has a taste in music that spans far across the genre landscape. Being influenced by everything from world music, funk, rock, and varying types of electronica, to his memories of 90s 8 bit video game music, Coleco channels his current efforts into the quickly evolving world of dubstep. Although dubstep is the name circling alot of his compositions, Coleco's music is more of a genre defying exploration of sounds. All of his influences become clearly apparent in his music, as takes you on a journey through deeply harmonic melodies, and heavy funk breakbeats, with deep, rippling bassline undertones. 3) Dutch band that existed briefly during the early/mid 1990s and self-released one album "Start Up: Magna Interruption" (1996). The band is sometimes referred to as "Coleco & Friends" as Coleco is also the stage name of the band's main member (coleco). The band described its music as "Lo-Fi Techno" or "Guitar Music Without Guitars". Although the quality of the musicians may be disputed, they have been innovative and foreshadowed a wider movements of indietronica and folktronica. The four streamable tracks on last.fm are all by the Dutch Coleco. Each tracks contains a number of songs, which, in the lo-fi tradition, are often short and often feel unfinished. 4) Coleco is an alternative rock band from Puerto Rico. Their songs are characterized by dissonant/inventive chords and arpeggios, distinguished clean bass melodies, very interesting drumming and sweet/sour vocals that range from disgruntled to content . They've been playing shows since 2001. The band line-up has shifted somewhat since their first shows, finally culminating with the curent line-up composed by Gibran (singer) , Jose (guitar), Eden Cruz (drums) , Christian "Fidel" (bass) and Kristian "harry rag" (guitar). The group's influences are greatly varied, The band is currently finishing up their first LP release.
