Meet people through music
Collection d'Arnell~Andréa was founded in France in 1986 by Jean-Christophe d'Arnell and Chloé St Liphard. They released a first maxi record Autumn's Breath for Anton's Death on Valotte Records in 1988. From 1989 to 1994, Collection d'Arnell~Andréa released four LPs on New Rose Records, the French label of the eighties. The first LP, Un Automne à Loroy, is a funeral oration to the autumn where sobbing Cello and Chloé's voice stand out the record. The French and International press gave them an enthusiastic reception. The music of Collection is outstanding because it makes the perfect assimilation of a priori incompatible instruments: on the background of a drum machine, the bass guitar is merged with the cello, the keyboard... and the voice, a noble instrument on its own. Then, every two years, Collection d'Arnell~Andréa released a new LP: Au val des Roses, in 1990, Les Marronniers, in 1992, Villers-Aux-Vents, in 1994, and Cirses des champs, in 1996. This last record was issued by Last Call Records which also re-issued previously released records after Newrose disappeared in 1994. In 1998, Last Call releases a "Best Of" called Coll AGE which is a double CD with 2 periods 1996-1992 and 1992-1988. At the beginning of 2002, Tristesse des Mânes proposes a chamber music oriented record which gathers acoustic versions of previously released titles and new titles. This record is released by Prikosnovenie, a well known label by people who like heavenly voices and medieval music. Website: http://cdaa.free.fr/
