About Eric Nam
Eric Nam (에릭남), otherwise known as 남윤도 (Nam Yoon-do), is a Korean-American solo singer under B2M Entertainment . Eric was born and raised in Atlanta on November 17, 1988. He can speak Korean, English, Spanish, Chinese, and is currently learning Japanese. Before making it to the K-Pop industry, Eric Nam had made cover songs and posted them on YouTube. He also once auditioned in SM Entertainment when he was in high school, but was rejected. He didn't give up, though, and continued uploading YouTube videos. One time, a JYP representative discovered him through Youtube and scouted him, suggesting that he should go to a JYP audition in New York. However, he decided against it to focus on his studies. He was next discovered by Korean broadcasting company MBC. After MBC watched his YouTube audition, he was flown out to Korea for an audition in person. Eric Nam became a part of a talent search show, Birth of a Great Star 2 as a contestant in December, 2011. He stayed in the competition for about 8 months and made it to the Top 5. On September 25, he officially joined B2M Entertainment company and became a solo artist. Eric's first album 'Cloud 9' was dropped on January 23 2013, together with the music video of 천국의 문 (Heaven's Door). Eric Nam has also worked as a reporter for MBC's 'Section TV', where he conducted interviews for many Hollywood stars such as Amanda Seyfried, Miranda Kerr and Barbara Palvin. Eric also got praise from Jamie Foxx as a "truly talented young man" and even harmonized a line of 천국의 문 (Heaven's Door) with him. Eric is currently a host for Arirang's After School Club alongside Ledapple's 한별. B2M Entertainment had hinted that Eric's comeback will be in early 2014. On April 8, he dropped his 1st digital single, "Ooh Ooh", featuring INFINITE Member Hoya.
