About Gatto Ciliegia contro il Grande Freddo
The band (whose name translation is "Cherrycat vs the Big Chill") is an instrumental project started in 1999, in Turin, IT, by three Fabio Perugia, Max Viale and Gianluca Della Torca. At the moment the group is composed by five members (Christian Alati and Lucio Sagone joined in 2006). The group is pointed out by many magazines and publications of independent music kind, for the evocative sounds and the originality. The first album, titleless, in 2000 (Beware!/Wide), gives all the critics a good impression: a suprising disclosure in the "post rock" national ambient, the main characteristics was originality and untypycal way of sound. Several albums (and a inedited movie soundtrack) made also by collaborations with the interesting discographic's reality, concerts, playing in important festivals, sounding in the national territory, also collaborations with filmakers for documentary and short movies, acting companies, writers and other performers. The latest album (disconoir - march 2008) is characterized by instrumental melodies and minimal lyrics with a strong evocative impact.
