About Glide

More than one artist has used the name "Glide". 1) Glide was a guitar four-piece from Australia during the mid-1990s, they released three albums (Shrink Wrapped Real Thing,Open Up and Croon, Disappear Here) as a band and then after the tragic death of William Arthur, the primary member of the band(singer-songwriter), they released a fourth album entitled 'Last'. He is considered a prominent figure in the development of breakbeats and first gained notice with the release of his debut track "The Experimental Phaser", which was constructed entirely from a laptop and some turntables. 3) Glide is currently the electronic/psychedelic/ambient solo project of Will Sergeant, guitarist with Echo & the Bunnymen.
