About Ivory Hours
Ivory Hours is an alt-pop juggernaut from London, Ontario. Singer siblings Luke and Annie Roes have been riding an upward spiral since their return from Vancouver last fall: winning a contest from 98.1 Free FM in January, recording 'Mary' at EMAC Studios in the spring, garnering their first commercial radio play and finishing top 5 in CBC's Rock Your Campus competition. 'Mary' sees the band trading its folky vestiges for upbeat, colorful pop - dishing up six eclectic tunes that range from sun-soaked bangers (Hello Honey, Mary) to soul- wrenching ballads (I'll Stay Away). The band has built up an impressive following, extending their reach this summer on a tour of Western Canada that featured slots at Lachie Music Festival, Wild Mountain Music Festival, Rockin' Wheel and shows at famed Toronto venues The Horseshoe Tavern and Lee's Palace. Having opened for Sam Roberts, Delhi 2 Dublin, and Wake Owl, the rest of the year will see continued touring and a return to the studio for a fresh release next spring.
