About Jakim

Jakim (Mateusz Szymański, born April 24, 1991), Polish independent musician related to demoscene and gamedev communities. Most of his works was created in the trackers. Participant of the compos. The winner of first modules.pl Multichannel Compo and ExChipO #1 music competition. Jakim produces music from different genres: from funk, jazz to classical, orchestra to electronic, chiptune and finally ambient. Influenced mostly by music of other demoscene musicians like quasian (rock, funk), Beek (chiptune), Reed (funk), Virgill (electronic, funk), XTD (electronic) or Carlos (jazz) but also by not related to demoscene artist from various decades (for example ragtime composer Scott Joplin). Member of two demoscene groups: eXtrait and Stage Magician. Music creator of eXtrait's demo mindStrip.
