Visit James's official site here: http://www.jameshannigan.com James Hannigan is a composer working in games, television and film, with game credits including various EA Sports titles, entries in the Harry Potter, Warhammer, Command and Conquer, Lord of the Rings and Theme Park series, along with contributing to television shows such as ITV's Primeval. After starting out at Electronic Arts in the mid-1990s, James later based himself at the Pinewood Studios complex in West London, accumulating numerous credits and gaining five BAFTA nominations for music - along with a win with EA for Theme Park World/Sim Theme Park in 2000. Today, James's music can be heard in many multi-million selling titles and among his many credits are: Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest, Primeval Series 3 (ITV), Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Red Alert 3, Art Academy (Nintendo), Theme Park Inc./Sim Coaster, Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, Freelancer, Republic, Evil Genius, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Space Hulk, Brute Force, Dark Omen, Privateer: The Darkening, Catwoman, Grand Prix 4, Mr Bean, Lost In Space (New Line Cinema; Sound Design) and various EA Sports titles (in the F1, FIFA and FA Premier League series). James has also provided music for numerous trailers, commercials and promos, for clients ranging from Ferrari and Ducati through to the libraries of Chappell, BMG Universal and West One Music. Working from his recording studios in England, James also regularly works with orchestras and choirs at home and abroad and these have included The Philharmonia Orchestra, the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra, The Chamber Orchestra of London, The Pinewood Singers, The Tiffin Boys Choir and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra - recording at locations such as Abbey Road Studios, Skywalker Ranch, Phoenix Sound and Air-Lyndhurst. James frequently works with soloists as well, such as Tony Hinnigan (Titanic, Braveheart), Miriam Stockley (Adiemus), Miranda Keys and Soname - to name but a few. At this time, Video Games Live are touring with some of James's music and, in September 2009, the Eminence Symphony Orchestra debuted the first live performance of 'Soviet March' at the Sydney Entertainment Centre as part of "A Night in Fantasia". Participating as a panellist at events such as Tiga's 'Games Meet Film', The Edinburgh International Festival, Musicworks and The BAFTA Interactive Festival, James also writes articles and has been featured on the cover of Develop Magazine, profiled in Post, Audio Media, Resolution, Music, Sound and the Moving Image (MSMI), Film Score Monthly and other publications - and has been interviewed several times by the BBC. James Hannigan is a member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA), an active member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and is represented by COOL Music Ltd, London.
