About Jamie Walker
Having formerly made his name on the hardstyle circuit, DJ/Producer Jamie Walker burst onto the trance scene in 2010 and quickly established himself as one of the leading upcoming names to watch. With his signature style of driving power-trance complimented by his technical skills and prolific work-ethic he was very quick to win himself an army of new admirers that continues to grow by the day. Signing with Defcon Recordings, his first track for them was a remix of Space Garden - Sora, which was supported by trance-legend Ferry Corsten, amongst others. Jamie followed this up with his debut EP for Defcon, the 4-track "Elements" EP, a diverse, dark, but banging affair that gained widespread support, with all four tracks getting into the Audiojelly top 20. However, it was his remix of Defcon Audio's vocal track Lost In You that took things to the next level. Released early on the Defcon Autumn Sampler by popular demand, it spent nearly three weeks in the Audiojelly top 10 and reached the dizzy heights of number 3. Jamie followed this up shortly afterwards with a second original 4-track EP called "Mind Games" which earned him yet more admirers and supporters, even including some of his very own idols on the scene. His efforts had already alerted the attention of other labels who subsequently drafted him in on remix duties. First up was a remix for Digitized Recordings for their release David Murtygh - Drive, whilst his remixes for Nu-Depth Records is still forthcoming! Rounding off the year, Jamie released a final two-track EP, comprising of Break The Rules, a peak-time trancer, and No Limit, a hard, dark dancefloor destroyer. Both tracks earned some massive support and again made the Audiojelly Top 20 lasting well into the new year. With numerous other remixes to come on Defcon as well as other originals and vocal tracks, Jamie is now certainly one of the upcoming names on the scene to watch out for!
