About Jess and the Ancient Ones

Exploring the dark magical realms beyond the mundane, this seven-headed entity was given life by Thomas Corpse and Thomas Fiend in early 2010 in Kuopio, Finland. With the talented female singer Jess as their front figure, the music of JATAO is inspired by rock and heavy metal from the 70's and 80's. The music combined with lyrics based upon the personal occult experiences of the writers creates a mystical and powerful atmosphere, and a live show definitely worth witnessing. Jess and the Ancient Ones are signed to Svart Records, and the self-titled debut album will be released before summer 2012 (TBA). This year JATAO will perform several festival shows in Europe, including Tuska Open Air 2012 in Finland and Heavy Days In Doomtown in Denmark. More live shows are being booked constantly. Later in 2012, Doomentia Records will release Deadmask / JATAO 7-inch split vinyl and the debut 7" single, entitled "13th Breath of the Zodiac", was released in October 2011 through Svart Records.
