About Kam Royal
November 13th 2010 will always be an important date in KAM Royal's life; not only was it his 20th birthday but it was also the date he released his first mix-tape "Business As Usual." Upon BAU's release, KAM witnessed his passion since 5th grade quickly accelerate into the start of a promising career. Months before his 21st birthday KAM released his second official mix-tape "Vindicated" which earned the coveted "Hot This Week" tag on Datpiff.com. While working on this project KAM began establishing his own sound incorporating influences from legends, established artists, and up and comers alike including but not limited to: Jay-Z, Ludacris, Tech Nine, The Notorious B.I.G, Big L, Schoolboy Q , J Cole, and Dom Kennedy. KAM continued his sonic development with his third project "Quit Your Day Job," repping his home town DC while incorporating a little bit of that southern swag he obtained attending school in New Orleans as an honor roll student at Tulane University. KAM's intellect and dedication to progress led him to develop his own form of cerebral lyricism, which he displays on his highly fourth project "Still Waters." KAM continues to mature with intelligent, authentic verses and a seemingly endless supply of dope beats; all the while rocking stages with talented performers such as Big Sean, Clinton Sparks, Curren$y, Mac Miller, Stalley, The Cool Kids, and G-Eazy. An exponential thinker in a linear world, KAM has established himself as a young artist deserving of your attention. Teaming up with his usual suspects as well as some new characters, KAM is hard at work on his next solo project, The Storm. Facebook. Twitter. Soundcloud. YouTube.
