Meet people through music
Formed in 2010, Chicago's own KNOCKOUT KID is pop punk with an edge. Instead of generic breakdowns and been-done gang vocals, KNOCKOUT KID relies on metalcore-inspired riffs and choruses catchy enough to keep you up at night. Since their inception three years ago, the band has been on multiple D.I.Y. coast-to-coast & regional American tours, shared the U.S. Cellular Stage at Milwaukee's Summerfest with Anberlin, officially released two EP's and a twelve song full length album, and were chosen to be a supporting band on the 2013 Koi Fest in Ontario, Canada featuring bands like Bayside/Cute Is What We Aim For/Emmure/Vanna/and more! The summer of 2012 saw the band bring ex-A Face for Radio vocalist Wade Hunt into the mix - with extremely cohesive results. KNOCKOUT KID's second EP, 2013's "The Callback," showcases the band's newfound grit and even stronger work ethic. KNOCKOUT KID toured the entire nation immediately after Hunt's arrival and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Now with fans in every state and across the globe, KNOCKOUT KID have seen a very strong reception to the release of their debut full length, "It Comes with the Job Description," released on 3/26/13, available NOW for physical purchase and digital download. KNOCKOUT KID contributed their new single, "Safety Net On Fire", to a 4-band split E.P. OUT NOW (Dec. 3, 2013) for digital download and on limited 7" vinyl via Take This To Heart Records. The band's future looks brighter than ever before, so look for them on tour and beyond with new releases to accompany them.
