About Lena Fayre
Occasionally an artist is discovered when no one else is watching. This well-kept secret is California's Lena Fayre ("Lay-nah Fair"). Her talent goes far beyond her 18 years, as she sings and writes with a genuine spirit and a fresh, fearless voice. There is a dark yet ethereal quality to her songwriting that experiments with different instrumentation. From R&B to electro-pop to stark acoustic ballads, Lena has a singular voice. She performs regularly around Los Angeles, at venerable indie venues such as Hotel Cafe, Troubadour, Satellite, and EchoPlex. She performed during SXSW 2015 and ASCAP selected her to perform live at its 2015 "I Create Music" Expo. She has amassed over 6 million video views on YouTube and was named a 'New Artist You Need To Know' by Rolling Stone. Lena self-released her debut EP in 2013 and last year self-released her first album, titled "OKO," which has racked up over 6 Million streams . She released a single titled "This World" in March of 2015, which was featured in a climactic scene of the popular CW show "The Vampire Diaries," aired on April 23rd, 2015. Lena Fayre's next release, a five-track EP titled "Is There Only One?", is scheduled to come out in late July, 2015. No small feat for an artist doing things on their own. _____ From Lena: Moments, elusive and stagnant, grown through sound, visuals, echolalia. Music, the mirror -- words of wound and remedy. This is refraction. Likenesses, images, distortion. Generation Now, Generation New. A child thumbing a flower as it pricks a hole. Friction as past and future coalesce. These are my stories.
