Meet people through music
DJ Producer Mark Sixma (a.k.a. M6) was born in The Netherlands in '83. Being raised in Breda, hometown of DJ Tiësto, it was only a matter of time till he caught the trance virus. After mastering the art of DJ'ing at high school parties and in local club Spock, Mark got interested in producing music as well. His background in classical piano music proved to be a great benefit here. After releasing a collaboration with Def Tactical and a Project 6 E.P. at Five AM Records it was time for the next M6 release called Destination 6. It was chosen Tune of the Week on Armin van Buuren's radio show A State Of Trance and got supported by the biggest names on the planet! From that point on a lot of doors were opened. The next M6 single was signed at Armada Music. Fade 2 Black was, once again, selected Tune of the Week on ASOT. The 4x no.1 DJ selected Mark's tracks for his annual, platinum selling A State Of Trance compilation three years in a row. In addition to the compilations, Armin also featured one of Mark's tunes on his brand new Wii Game and gave him the opportunity to remix Minack, his collaboration with Ferry Corsten! Mark's music is released on some of the most well-known dance record labels in the world, like Armada, Blackhole, Spinnin', High Contrast and Flashover and has been played by all the top DJ's like Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules and many many others. As a DJ, Mark has played all around the globe including tours in India, Brazil, Russia, Italy, UK, Belgium and ASOT 550 in The Netherlands. The every busy Dutchman also demonstrates his DJ skills with his new mix compilation on Armada Music called Worldwide Trance Sounds vol 6. Mark also hosts his monthly radio show Solid Sounds which is broadcasted on 6 different radio stations in the USA, Greece, Holland, UK and Germany. The show attracts over 100.000 listeners each month both on FM and on the internet and the numbers are increasing rapidly. So be sure to keep an eye on this young and talented Dutchman. He has plenty more in store for you!
