There are several bands with this name: 1) Hardcore / Southern Rock / Screamo band from Saint Augustine, Florida. Mason - vocals Michael R - guitar/vocals Austin - bass/vocals Mikee - drums Joshua - guitar/vocals Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/monroehardcore 2) A new Dutch trio consisting of Germaine, Rachel and Raffaela. First single is 'The Real Thing', which is produced by popular producers 'Fluitsma en van Tijn' (Jochem Fluitsma and Eric van Tijn) 3) Legendary punk-rock cult-band from the Netherlands (Vlissingen, Zeeland), fronted by singer Jaap van Boven. They only released one single (Polio For The People / Disco Fever)in 1978. The single was very controversial. Around that time there was an outbreak of polio in the orthodox-protestant community in the province of Zeeland, because they refused vaccinations because of their belief. The picture sleeve showed the band around an open grave, with Jaap taking a crap on the coffin. "Is God your Shepherd, who commands... The Wheelchair dealer rubs his hands" is a classic line from the song's lyrics. Jaap van Boven would later re-emerge in several other bands (such as Het Elektrisch Combo) and is still active in the local music scene. 4) A now defunct alternative pop/rock band from Berkshire, UK comprising of: Ashley Wilkie - Vocals Tom Millar - Guitar Ben Hordos - Drums Joe Hicks - Guitar/Vocals Ian Greenfield - Bass http://www.myspace.com/monroeband 5) A Now defunct indie/instrumental/rad band based in Port Hueneme, California.
