About Mulder
There is more than one artist operating under the name of Mulder: 1) Allen Doe is the man known as Mulder, his nickname for his physical resemblance to The X-Files' Fox Mulder. Based in Bristol, UK, he started as a drum and bass producer for Urban Takeover using an Amiga 1200. In 2002 his output also began to extend to breaks, however his output ceased soon after due to reported illness. In 2007 he resumed production, solely focusing on hardcore breaks and in August 2008, he started a digital label for his own output, Cue Burn Digital. 2) Mulder, born as Willem de Mulder, is a 28 years old dj & producer from the southern part of The Netherlands. Very early in his youth he got acquainted with, and fell in love straight away, drums and percussion, a love which inspired him to make music himself and even brought him to the Academy of Music years later. Long before his college years began, Mulder started experimenting with dj-ing and got inspired by the growth and development of techno. After Mulder mastered spinning skills, he decided to produce tracks. His hugely developed rhythm combined with the technical en theoretical knowhow he gained during his college years, have turned out to be a profound starting point for his productions. This resulted in the releases '4Sure EP' and 'Nice One EP' on Daniel Sanchez' BlaBla label in 2009 which were supported by legends such as Richie Hawtin, Marco Corola, Karotte("original is a bomb"), Radioslave("sounds awesome!") Josh Wink and Steve Bug. Undoubtedly more tracks will follow that his peers will use in their live sets in the future! Mulder's sound defies itself by percussion, but even more by versatility. Groove and musicality always have the upper hand. His next release on BlaBla called 'Keep going EP' is planned for this April and promises to be a big one! Under the name of his alter ego 'Second Floor' he will release a new record on Michel de Hey's label early this summer. Furthermore two remixes will come out on Ronan Portela's Unlock Recordings and Cray1 Labworks. With these new releases coming up and a tour schedule getting busier and busier, Mulder is a promising talent for now and the future. Be sure to keep an eye on him!
