About New Town Animals
New Town Animals started playing punk rock n roll back in Febuary 98, with Nick, Alex, and Stevie Kicks, after trying various people they added Chucky on drums, and started playing live around B.C. They recorded a 12 song demo, and had one of the tracks released on a comp in Scotland. Around 2000 they added jeff McCloy on guitar, and started playing a more punk new wave pop kinda sound, they soon attracted interest from Mint records, and recorded there 2nd single ( the 1st was on zaxxon records, earlier that year ), 'Lose that girl / Now that he's free. Soon after they started touring more extensively around B.C and Canada. They released there full length album in 2001 called Is your radio active, and did there 2nd Tour of Canada, as well as recording a session on C.B.C radio. Shortly after that Chucky left to concentrate on his other band, and Bryce Dunn stepped in. There album was released on Screaming Apple records in Germany, and they recorded 5 new songs which come out as 'Fashion Fallout / Fallin outta Space' on Dirtnap records, and 'Spin so Fast / Cori St.' on Longshot Music, as well as the track ' Forgotten Generation' on the Dirtnap sampler - Across the Northwest. They called it quits in 2003.
