Alex Koenig is an electronic musician out of Louisville, KY. Ex-drummer of metal/hardcore bands Execrate, Nemesis, and also Tuscarora (alongside Daisy Caplan of Foxy Shazam) in the late 90's to mid-2000's. 1/3 of the experimental outfit Captain Midnight. Landed two remixes on urban fusion specialists Candiria's third volume of the "Toying With The Insanities" series on 12" in 2010. Engineered and co-produced hip-hop duo Bird Zoo's "Body 10" LP in 2012. Released critically acclaimed "Nu.wav Hallucinations" in April 2013 via AMDISCS, which made numerous Best-Of-2013 lists (including Tiny Mix Tapes & Flavorwire) and was played on the Rodarte, Sportmax, Céline, Ferragamo, and Lacoste runways for Fashion Weeks in Milan, NY & Paris. Released acclaimed ambient-gaze record "Dream Sequins®" (★★★★1/2 on Tiny Mix Tapes) for AMDISCS in 2014, and was featured in mixes from the likes of Gorilla vs. Bear, Dummy Mag, and Giganta (Werkdiscs/Ninja Tune). Contributed remix for psychedelic giants The Amorphous Androgynous (aka FSOL/The Future Sound Of London) on their Record Store Day exclusive double-12" of "The Cartel" 2xCD, alongside DJ Food, Youth, and Noel Gallagher. Regular contributor to the FSOL fan forum's 'Terminal' series, and a member of SAINT PEPSI's New Generation collective.
