About Raresh Rush
Raresh was born in Bacau, Romania, but he is living in Bucharest for the past three years. Always atracted to music he began spinning the decks at the age of 15 in a small club in his native town. Raresh was very eager to learn and listen to as much music as possible. Soon he gained the residency in the most important electronic music club in Bacau, where he played every weekend. After he moved in Bucharest, in 2003, Raresh faced the romanian capital's night life. It felt like a big challenge to an important progress in his career because this was the headquarters of romanian clubbing scene. His talent was the fact that distinguished him from the others young romanian DJs so that he was invited to play at the Black Sea beach parties in the summer of 2004. Raresh believes that one of the strongest moments of his life was entering the Sunrise Booking Agency. It was the chance for his career to take off. In 2005, he had the opportunity to play warm-up for the artists he admired. He got a full summer residency for all the Sunrise events at the Black Sea Coast and he shared decks with: Richie Hawtin, Magda, Steve Bug, Josh Wink, Pascal FEOS, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Pier Bucci, Tobi Neumann. And this was just the beginning. The developement of his work continued with the opening of the Luciano & Thomas Melchior event in Bucharest. Next step was the invitation to mix in East Club in Frankfurt on 25th of December 2005, where Raresh played together with Toni Rios, Chris Wood and Frank Lorber. Back home, the young DJ became part of one of the most important moments in romanian clubbing scene: The Sound Of The Sixth Season World Tour 2006, where he played back to back with Chris Tietjen the warm-up for german techno legend Sven Väth. In march 2006, another "most wanted" artist, Ricardo Villalobos, stopped for a memorable party in Bucharest. Raresh was the best choice to play the warm-up. It was the longest opening set in his career. Ricardo Villalobos was impressed by the talent, the passion and style of the romanian DJ. They played back to back at the after-party that followed the event in Bucharest and completed each other in an admirable way. Since the beginning, Raresh felt a strong attraction to the tech side of electronic music. Over the years, he developed a unique and special style, combining minimal, tech-house with house in a warm, delicate but powerful way. One of Raresh strong beliefs is that a DJ is not a complete artist until he becomes a producer, and that there is always something more to learn and practice in music.
