Meet people through music
Reeve Carney (born April 18, 1983 in Manhattan, New York, U.S.) is an American singer-songwriter, model, and actor (most notably in the film "Snow Falling on Cedars" in 1999). He is currently the star of the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. In addition to his live performances, Reeve continues to be featured in magazines, television commercials and billboards all over the U.S. Carney was born and raised in the West Village area of Manhattan until he was 10 years old. He and his siblings, Zane and Paris, spent 1/2 of each school year in Los Angeles and the other half in NYC until relocating permanently to L.A. in 1997. Brought up in a musical family, he learned to play the piano before he took his first steps. When his mother could no longer afford guitar lessons for Reeve, she took him to blues clubs. When Carney was eight years old, he sang at Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan, and later got to sing with Michael Jackson. At the age of sixteen, he got the chance to perform at B.B King's Blues club. His band, "Carney", consists of Reeve, Zane (on guitar), Aiden Moore on bass and Jon Epcar on drums. Carney released their debut album, "Mr. Green Vol. 1", in May 2010. Reeve currently lives in the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan. He is starring as Spider-Man in the new Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which began previews in November 2010. The rest of the band are performing as part of the pit orchestra for Turn Off the Dark
