Rômulo Fróes was born in São Paulo/Brazil and began his work with the band Losango Cáqui releasing two albums: Losango Cáqui, from 1998 and #2, in 2000 After that, he left for solo career, recording a limited edition EP. He started to obtain more prominence in the media and shows oportunities with the release of a 2005's "Calado", which compositions had been made in partnership with painter Nuno Ramos. Fróes made a melancholic samba record, influenced by great names of the samba and root bossa nova, such as Nelson Cavaquinho and Batatinha, with tastes of contemporary indie rock, mainly his "slowcore" influence. "Calado" was nominated to several prizes and made Fróes relatively known as a solo songwriter. After the release of his first album, one of the most important brazilian singers, Gal Costa, recorded "Pra Que Cantar", from "Calado", and "Jurei", included in 2006's "Cão". In 2009, Romulo recorded a double album called "No Chão Sem O Chão", also in partnerships with Nuno Ramos and Clima. His next album, called "Um Labirinto Em Cada Pé" is going to be released by ybmusic, also the label of "Cão" and "Um Labirinto", in 2011.
