The band play a Japanese take on mid 90's midwest emocore although alot more alternatively influenced. Their songs, jump both timing and dynamics, as well as containing twinkly guitar breakdowns just like many other bands from the genre. The band retains a rather unique twist on the genre, using raw Japanese vocals with building guitar riffs, featuring off-kilter use of drums and an underlying thumping bass. 4) Sora, from Porvoo, BorGoa, Finland Sora in Finnish means "gravel". Sora is in its element while creating airy electronic downtempo with a twist of ambient, jazz and funk. Exquisite sounds from composer/musicians Pi Kiviharju (flute, vocals), Heidi Kiviharju (saxofon, vocals), toMMen (programming, sampler) and Janne Rouvinen (programming, percussions). Their tracks "Rainday" and "Hiljaa metsässä" are featured on Helsinki Cooler vol. 2 compilation. Debut-album "Fade to what" was released in March 2007 by Cymbidium Records. Surreal Audio´s Angelic Science downtempo compilation with Gos-Mos track was released December 2003. Penthause EP was released in 2004 on #Records. The EP includes 4 downtempo tracks from Sora. Sora is a Canadian mother of four and musician. Influenced by other female musicians such as Loreena Mckennit, Enya and Tori Amos, Sora has a long history in music. In 2003 she released her first album, "Winds Of Change", which was rather traditional Celtic and Irish influenced. In 2008 the "Light" EP was released as a teaser for the 2009 album. On "Light", Sora combined the traditional feeling of celtic music with neoclassical components.
