About Stoffer og Maskinen
Stoffer & Maskinen are a danish rock band formed in 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The duo constists of Christoffer Budtz (aka Stoffer) and Andreas Sommer (aka Maskinen). Their first and, to date, only album called simply Stoffer og Maskinen was released in 2009 in Denmark and Norway. The duo is characterised by an original vision of music. Smooth electronic background, clashed together with harsh guitar sound and aggressive drumming, contrasted with emotional vocals create altogether unforgettable and surprisingly original mixture of music. Stoffer is the voice. His poetic lyrics, written entirely in danish, revolve around alienation and express rather pessimistic view on world and relationships. With his highly emotional voice he is able to move smoothly between tender, whisper-like verses and strong, aggressive points on the map of emotions. His talent is immense and touching. Maskinen is the music. Self-taught rock virtuoso carries the last 20 years of danish rock music history in his blood. His producing and instrumental work create his own great universe of sound expression in which Stoffer is able to find himself. Together they create a soundwave that overwhelms listener with its freshness and emotional charge included in it. Maskinen is also known to have produced music for other Danish musicians, including e.g. Marie Key. During live performances Stoffer & Maskinen is supported by Rasmus Jarby, Lasse Baunkilde and Michael Bo Jacobsen Røpstorff
