About Tereza
There are at least two artists with this name: 1) A brazilian Indie band from Rio de Janeiro. 2) A Greek-American singer. 2) Tereza is a Greek-American recording artist who enjoyed success in Greece. During her summer holidays in Greece Tereza made her first steps in discography, singing cover versions with the band Yesterdays, and signed her first contract with MINOS-EMI. "Oposdipote" was her first released LP with songs "Kypellaki", "Club Feggari", which brought Tereza to the limelight and made her very popular. Her second LP "Sta krifa" made the difference, along with the duet "Glyko tou koutaliou". Her live appearances in top clubs were always enthusiastic because of her unique stage appearance. For these reasons, major Greek artists such as, Glykeria, Giorgos Hatzinassios, Kostas Tournas, Lakis Papadopoulos [Psila Reveur], Mihalis Hatzigiannis, Alexia, Petros Gaitanos and many more invited Tereza to support them during their tours around Greece but also worldwide. Following a few years of absence from discography spent in New York, Tereza returned to Greece and she signed at Planetworks releasing her first cd single with this label "Akouse me" with a good airplay and success at the clubs, also released in Turkey by Sony. "Pame ego ki esy" [the greek version of "Fly me to the moon"] was the second cd single. Cutty Sark whiskey chose "Fly me to the moon" (Beasy Bossa Mix) performed by Tereza in order to be heard on its 2003 TV campaign. Nobody believed that the song of Cutty Sark whiskey TV commercial is sung by a Greek artist and even more that it's a Greek production! On May 2003 Planetworks released her double album "Fly me to the moon" with very good airplay and during summer 2003 Tereza and her dance team toured around Greece and the U.S.A. Cutty Sark whiskey recognizing her success and the fact that Tereza became so popular renewed the deal for the 2004 TV commercial by using the Equaleyes ambient mix of "Fly me to the moon". Following the success of her double cd album, Planetworks re-released "Fly me to the moon" special album edition with more remixes and new songs. Some of the album's songs have already been included in compilations released in Germany and Spain. Tereza's tour in Greece in order to present to her fans her new album during summer was more than successful and her winter projects were full of surprises. Tereza had airplay in countries of Eastern Europe such as Ukrania, Turkey and "Fly me to the moon" is in many compilations: Sunset Sunrise 3, Best TV Spots, Dance Now 2004, Best of Buddha, Casagrande, Privilege, R 'n B Booty Call vol.2 by Nikos Mouratidis.
