About Underlined
&THEN available now at Amazon and iTunes. In the swamps of South Florida a young singer/songwriter by the name of "H7" was growing disgusted with the surrounding music scene and the standard top 20 playlists forced by local radio. Late 2006 brought a unique visual showcase that was conceived to aid the bands musical genre called "Horror Metal". Formed out of the ashes of Cellpan "UNDERLINED" was created to provide something new to a community drenched in normality. After taking 2 years to perfect this and record the bands first release, October of 2009 brought the 13 track demo titled "Truth and Denial". The release was extremely well received by both metal and industrial communities, leading them to sell over 2,000 self pressed copies in less than a year. They continued to support the disk by preforming fan favorite songs in their early live shows and by re-recording specific songs for future releases. Later the band began promoting their first studio single entitled "The Suffering [Druqz]". The single lead to an extremely unexpected boom UNDERLINEDs popularity, especially from an already growing online fan base. It also brought UNDERLINEDs first taste of national air play on various terrestrial, satellite and online radio stations as well as breaking a digital sale's mark of 10,000 units via iTunes and other online retailers. Soon after, the band released a studio B-side titled "Cellar Door", also aiding the bands online popularity. The band later played a numerous amount of test shows to support these releases and to build a proper live act. By the end of 2010 UNDERLINED saw their first full live/studio line-up and soon began the demoing stages for their first official full-length. The year of 2011 was expected to bring UNDERLINEDs debut studio release "Deadtime Stories". Limitations set by the past industrial sub-cultures, a desire to mature the band into a prime musical outlet, and the natural growth of the groups writing style had all fueled their drive to perfect their music. Inspiration for the bands "musical and visual transformation" from their earlier years was made to create the impression of hatred, horror and destruction. UNDERLINEDs music and macabre visuals have grown to invoke a message to all longtime and brand new listeners, a message that they say is: "Within destruction, We rise". Standby Records announced UNDERLINEDs signing and set the release date of "Deadtime Stories" for August 14th, 2012. After Standby Records released a version of "Deadtime Stories" with incorrect track listings and artwork available on iTunes, which the band does not support, and having made false accusations against UNDERLINED, the band severed ties with their label shortly before the release of "Deadtime Stories". Despite separating from their label UNDERLINED shot their music video for "Within Destruction We Rise" but the project was never finished or released. With the "Deadtime Stories" era coming to a close several of the bands live members parted ways. Being downright disgusted with the manhandling of "Deadtime Stories" the bands frontman, H7, has taken it upon himself to "rebuild" the record from scratch in order to create the much more raw, complete, and accurate product that the band felt this material deserved. This version of the material would serve as the beginning of H7's three part lyrically documented "downward spiral into who knows what". Currently the band is working on its future releases, the first of which is an EP titled "&THEN" which is planned to release sometime in 2013. The band released an instrumental version of the song "Eight Three One" on 6/25/13 with plans to release the full E.P. sometime after. Preproduction and writing for "Altruism" is 99.9% done according to H7. The recording of "Altruism" will be done with the assistance of John E Stevens (Ghost Machine) and is expected sometime after "&THEN". H7 has "no interest in performing half assed" and is planning on announcing new members when the band is ready to go full force and play live shows again. The band has been searching for a drummer and guitarist to play live. UNDERLINED has also been seeking label support for the future but has been unable to find one yet. UNDERLINED is currently in limbo. H7 has new material written and some of it recorded, however, without a stable supporting cast to aid in the creative process and perform live he is weighing his options and considering what to do next. He will never fully abandon UNDERLINED but without a means to continue delivering new material he is looking into other creative outlets. Stay tuned.
