Meet people through music
Born in 1990, Vince grew up in South London, the son of a cab driver. Inspired early in his life by singers such as Sam Cooke, Lauryn Hill and Terence Trent D'Arby, Vince began writing songs as teenager. A chance night out then led to a phone call from King of Pop Michael Jackson! Whilst at dinner with friends, a phone was passed to Vince with Michael on the end of the line. Vince promptly burst into song, with Michael declaring Vince a future star. After performing in local pubs and bars, he was spotted by Sony ATV who rewarded him with a publishing deal in 2010. April 2012 saw Vince notch up thousands of on line views for his A64 contribution to SBTV, which founder Jamal Edwards describes as 'one of the best'. Vince has subsequently won huge support from the UK urban scene, as highlighted by the contributions from both Scorcher and Lady Leshurr on his debut EP - "Sick Love EP" - this was released on November 4th 2012. Vince took part in the first series of 'The Voice', and under the mentoring of Jessie J reached the final of the competition, before signing a deal with Island Records. A true talent, Vince writes all this own material, and has been working alongside some of the UK's hottest rising talents including The Royal Palms, Michael Percy and E.L.E. His second release, The Zoo EP, was released on 2nd June 2013. You & Me was then released on 7th June 2013. In May 2014, he lent his vocals to Alpines song, Zero, featured on their debut album. He also co-wrote the song. He featured on and co-wrote the Hollaphonic single Dangerous, released on 9 February 2015.
