Meet people through music
Serbian/Montenegrin pop singer/songwriter. Born in 1977 in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. For the last 10 years he's been living and working in Belgrade. In 1997 he won the first prize with song "Draga" ("Dear") on festival "Pjesma Mediterana" ("Song of the Mediteran") in Budva, S&M. Vlado Georgiev participated on festivals throughout Serbia & Montenegro and wrote songs for young pop singers, patiently waiting for his big chance. He didn't want to make highly commercial instant-hits for good money. Young singer Željko Vasić had a lot of success with Vlado's song "Žena kao ti" ("A women like you") on "Budva 2001" festival. Vlado writes lyrics, music and he is planning to publish a book of his poetry. He doesn't like destructive songs, but mellow love verses. He shook letargic audience on festival in Budva in summer of 2001 with song "Tropski bar" ("Tropical bar") featuring Igor Lazić. After that he published his debut album "Navika" ("Habbit"). Shortly after the publishing of the album the "Vladomanija" began. Music managers were surprised because "Navika" became the most wanted pop-album in Serbia & Montenegro just after one month. Greatest hits were "Sama bez ljubavi" (Alone without love), "Bolesni od ljubavi" ("Love-sick"), "Zbogom ljubavi" ("Goodbye, love"), "Reci mi da znam" ("Tell me so I can know")... He won prizes "Zlatni melos" ("Golden melos"), "Oskar popularnosti" ("Oscar of popularity" and "YU-dani estrade" ("Days of YU-estrada). His new album "Zena bez imena" ("Woman with no name") also had a lot of success in S&M.
