Meet people through music
Wild Light was an indie rock band which formed in 2005 in Quincy, Massachusetts, United States. The band consists of Seth Pitman (vocals, multiple instruments), Timothy Kile (vocals, multiple instruments), Jordan Alexander (guitar) and Seth Kaspar (drums). Kile was an early member of Arcade Fire, who were formed by Alexander's friend Win Butler. Founded in High School, then - going separate ways for college - split up and, in the summer of 2005, reunited again in southern New Hampshire, "Wild Light" started their musical career in Boston by several club gigs. In early 2007 they started recording in the basement of Timothy Kile, Seth Pitman, Jordan Alexander's single family house in Quincy with the help of Engineer Bob Logan. Resulting of which an EP has been published in September 2007. Musically, Wild Light are probably most often compared to their friends Arcade Fire, but with an abundance of keys, reverb-drenched guitars and tambourine, their music actually has more in common with Mercury Rev's Deserter's Songs. The lyrics are bittersweet stories about the pain of learning through experience, sprinkled with enough cerebral turns of phrase to keep lyrical-minded listeners thoroughly engrossed. The band's debut album, "Adult Nights" was released in March 2009 on Almost Gold Recordings.
