About Zelda Reorchestrated
Website: http://www.zreomusic.com/ Zelda Reorchestrated was formed in 2004 with the goal to transcribe the musical masterpieces that make up the greatest video game series ever created: The Legend of Zelda! Their goal is to give each and every song from The Legend of Zelda series a realistic and atmospheric sound with the quality that would be expected from such film composers as John Williams, Howard Shore, and James Horner. The Zelda Reorchestrated team uses high-end sequencer synthesizers to transcribe the tracks. From there, the MIDI's created by the musical team are sent through sound libraries, where the computerized sounds are transformed into very realistic and believable orchestrated masterpieces. Not claiming ambitions of profit or fame, the ZREO Team produces music freely available on their website. The project, in their words, is "merely our own form of artistic expression that stems from The Legend of Zelda. If it weren't for Zelda, ZREO wouldn't exist. So we are grateful to have such a legendary video game series that can pull so much inspiration out of us." Zelda Reorchestrated started with FireGS. His musical ability, inspiration from Zelda, and soulful determination allowed him to give birth to ZREO. From there, everything has just accumulated. Like a snowball rolling down a snowy mountain, ZREO grabbed the attention, and touched the hearts of the Zelda community. It was clear that ZREO was a project never seen before. The majority of the staff at ZREO stepped on board to help lead ZREO to success because they themselves were inspired by FireGS's talent and persistence. Disbanded January 1, 2006 for financial reasons; relaunched December 2006 with renewed vigor and updates to older material. As of January 1, 2010, the group has chosen to be known as Zelda Reorchestrated instead of Z.R.E.O. Team or ZREO. This change was first seen in the ID3 tags of the completed Ocarina of Time album and will be used from now on. On June 11, ZREO announced their largest project to date. After months of teasing with the code name "Project Maranello," ZREO officially announced Twilight Symphony, or TPS for short. The announcement featured a trailer which can be seen on their website. Very little details have been announced about TPS and no release date has been set. Due to the amount of work TPS is requiring, the team has also elected to temporarily suspend Friday Updates. On September 29, well-known video game music producer Jeron Moore made a post introducing himself as the producer for the project. On June 9, 2012, after successfully having their Kickstarter project for a live choir for Twilight Symphony funded, ZREO completed the choir recording, bringing the project one step closer to completion. On August 6, the team posted a behind-the-scenes look at the choir recording as well as a preliminary release month of early November and a listing of all tracks confirmed to be on the 3-disk album, which will be licensed and distributed in partnership with Joypad Records. The team has not yet released a price for the album nor final information regarding where it will be available from.
