Tompaulin were a British indie pop group who released two studio albums and a series of singles between 1999 and 2006. Their debut album 'The Town and The City' was released on acclaimed indie label Ugly Man in 2001. The band's second album 'Into The Black' was released by The Track and Field to critical acclaim in 2005 and featured guest appearances from Jim Reid and Ben Lurie of The Jesus and Mary Chain. A singles retrospective 'Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt ' was released on the same label in 2006. The band are on hiatus, frontman Jamie Holman has however reappeared with his new group The Fischers, guitarist Simon runs Soup Studio (recording Darren Hayman, Mathew Sawyer And The Ghosts and The Wave Pictures) and Amos is the drummer in Fanfarlo.
