Top 3 most detested songs. Turn it OFF!
Ok, I know I'm gonna hear something from some people about this, but what the hell. If any of these come on I IMMEDIATELY have to switch off before my ears start bleeding. In no particular order:
1. Lady in Red, Chris de Burgh.
Hate, hate, hate that endless plodding melody, soppy lyrics and even the sickening imagery of it all. Really soul-destroying stuff.
2. Wonderful Tonight, Eric Clapton.
Similarly plodding, endless monotonous warbling about some 70's chick with long blonde hair. Blah blah. No one cares, Eric. What happened to you, anyway? You've come out with some amazing tunes and then some really dire shit.
3. Ok, here goes.... Imagine, John Lennon.
Yep. I said it! I HATE this song. Whining, wittering and again with the plodding, endless frikin melody. Stop that. please.
I'm sorry, I really don't find it deep and meaningful at all. I'm sure it's sacrilege for some of you to hear that. Really, is it that groundbreaking to hear someone say 'imagine if we all lived in peace'? Are we really that unimaginative? Did no one ever say that before in the history of mankind?
Tbh, I was not really into the later JL stuff, much of which was released and overplayed following his death.
Ahahaha! That felt good. Please feel free to share your top 3.
