When did you fall in love for the first time?

I was 22. But never had a girlfriend, as in: I either waited too long to out my feelings and saw her being taken by someone else meanwhile, or I hesitated for some reason, or she appeared to be already dating someone or prefering to not have a serious relationship yet.

I am 31 now and while the first years I never regretted the wasted chances too much as I enjoyed the freedom and liberty of single life... by now I really feel the desire for a true relationship. I feel a bit weak when seeing a couple kiss tenderly or hold each other in a close embrace. That must, if you really love the other person, be a blissful feeling and I seriously hope I can experience it soon and that my single life will be over soon. I don't want to rush things, but I do hope the right girl enters my life soon.

As for experiencing lust: I never experienced lust to such extent I'd want sex with someone whom I didn't have feelings for. But I find it hard to Judge it because whom am I to say what's wrong or right? Also, sometimes friendships (with or without physical attraction) lead to serious affection once you get to know each other better. I don't wanna say sex doesn't matter at all, but let's say it's lower on my wanting list than kissing, embracing, falling asleep in each other's arms, ... I guess sex happens at some point anyway, but it has to be an expression of love, not just an act of lust. To me, that is ; if others don't mind sex without feelings involved, then that's their choice and I won't be judging it.

PS: has any of you who feel like wanting a partner tried dating sites such as OKCupid, Meetic, Plenty of Fish, etc... ? I find OKCupid quite decent in terms of setup. The only odd feeling is to create an account and maintain it without the feeling that using a computer for romantic purposes is a bit weird and artificial. I guess however that once you meet in real and your positive feelings are confirmed and turn into serious affection, then I guess you easily forget the fact that you met online and just feel happy to have met each other at all.

Not necessarily, you never know when love will hit you in the guts ;) If you haven't met that person, that's just the way it is, no?
