My sentiments exactly. It's pop music influenced by punk and for those who enjoy pop music, Green Day actually aren't a bad choice.

green day, offspring and other commercial efforts have nothing to do with punk...boy who said that The Exploited and Discharge are not a punk is a moron...

There was a documentary on maybe the BBC some years back about punk and it had some really excellent punk riffs in it. Unfortunately it didn't populate the riffs with bank names so I still don't know who theose bands were. I've been trying to broaden my punk punk repertoire for ages. Still stuck with the Fall. Like some of the Cramps too and those Herman the Germans, whose name always escapes me.

I'm a fan of Punk: The Exploited, Discharge, Minor Threat. Green Day is not punk.

I'm more of a old punk and post punk kind of guy. Like Bad Brains, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and others down that line. I only like a hand full of pop punk tracks interest me.
