Oh, silly me... Mr Townshend wasn't actually buying kiddie porn for his own gratification, it was for "research". Scumbags, the lot of them. So glad someone mentioned Townsend, makes my skin crawl, what a sly bastard. He still gets to play doesn't he?? Are all 'The Who' fans totally deluded and won't accept they have a peadophile in the band. Messed up.
Courtney Love had Kurt Cobain murdered, because he was going to leave her and she would have lost out on a lot of money. i really like Nirvana's music and wish there was more of it to listen to.
people like Keith Richards and Frank Zappa did more drugs in a week than most people have done in their entire lives. i'm a very anti-drug person.
Elton John and Michael Stipe, etc, like to get fucked up the ass. the thought of that is not at all appealing to me, or my virgin asshole.
several great European extreme Metal bands are anti-semitic, nazi sympathizers, in both ideology and lyrical content. i am a person of German descent, and despise all things having association with nazi Germany.
what do all these musicians have in common? they make great music that i still enjoy listening to.
you guys need to learn to separate your feelings for a person's personal trappings from the music that they create. unless you work for Entertainment Tonight or a tabloid magazine, there is no need to get so caught up in the personal shit of a celebrity. you wouldn't be considered to be a perfect human specimen to them, either. everyone has MANY flaws.

For me, Miley Cyrus is offensive and obnoxious. Frank Zappa was also extremely offensive, to the ear (for the vast majority of his music, with a few notable exceptions) as well as lyrically. He even released an album called 'Have I Offended Someone?'

If we're not limiting ourselves to music but branching out to spoken word as well, I think folks Like William Burroughs and Charles Bukowsky made a hell of a lot of people feel pretty uncomfortable during their literary reign. For my money, they were two of the most expressive free-thinkers this world has ever known..
Im offended as a human being by art shat out by the process of persuasion aka pop for the sake of profit.
I’m inspired as a human being by art that that peels back the veneer of “civilization” and exposes us to our own ugliness and the “horrors” we passively permit, or the fantasies we are afraid to speak about for fear of being ostracized.
Ergo I enthusiastically concur! However, I feel you must include JG Ballard for “Crash” and “The Atrocity Exhibition” as being viscerally and intellectually on the offensive to fuck up the norm. Those 3 authors--plus Philip K Dick were the literature of my 20’s that helped me begin to comprehend what I thought art could do, and what “reality” might be.

l'm in somewhat of a quandary as to what is more offensive, the mainstream media describing these two beings as artists, or their deluded attempts to think that anything they say, think or do is any way artistic. They are truly offensive 'SUCKERS OF SATAN'S PECKER', and they ought to fuck off out of our collective consciousness so that we can evolve into something far greater than what they have to offer.
Word!
Fuck an Automaton right on target. Products of the corporate image nation of sound bite dank as dentures offensive false toothless plastic smiles, air brushed styles and a voice for the one channel choice of beauty is in the buy of the stock holder.

Nothing is really offesnsive unless you're a pussy. JK. Some stuff is offensive. I know these guys can be pretty offensive
If books count, this is highly offensive...
